Farm - Vineyard Equipment Mechanic
Washington, Kennewick-pasco-richland 00000 Kennewick-pasco-richland USAPosition Summary: We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair machinery and vineyard, farm equipment. The Farm Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines and mechanical systems. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain records of repairs and maintenance done on tractors, platforms, and any other equipment used for operations
Repair or replace pneumatics in agricultural equipment
Maintain inventory of parts needed to perform any maintenance or repair
Perform maintenance and repairs on Grape vines and weeds sprayers
Calibrate sprayers on Grape vines and weeds
Configure and adjust implements in the shop and fields
Perform maintenance and repairs to amendment spreaders
Manufacture agricultural equipment whenever necessary or needed
Repair and adjust hydraulic systems
Maintain work environment clean and organized.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills.
Valid driver’s license
Minimum 3 years’ experience repairing and maintaining ag equipment
Proven experience as Mechanic
Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components
Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)
Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints, etc.
A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
Excellent communication skills
A problem-solving ability
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a production and farming environment. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, and holidays to support the needs of the vineyards and is subject to change.
Hours: Full-Time
40 hours per week
compensation: $20-$25, DoE
