Looking for a Structural Stress Engineer in the DFW areaDescription: Perform sizing and support analysis activities for design changes and improvements; Support and provide guidance to different teams to ensure a quality product and supporting documentation are produced; Write structural substantiation reports, that meet technical compliance to program, and certifying authority, requirements and guidelines.Skills and Qualifications: B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft structural substantiation analysis Knowledge of interactions between loads and structures Knowledge and experience of structural sizing methodologies Proficiency in classical stress (static) analysis methods and FEM based analysis tools (i.e. MSC Patran/Nastran, Altair Hypermesh); Proficiency in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis methods and tools (i.e Nasgro); Understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures Proficiency with CATIA V5, Enovia applications – preferred; Ability to work on complex technical problems and provide solutions in an independent manner.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
