Accountant

Description We are offering a chance to join our client as a temporary Accountant in Houston, Texas. This role primarily involves project accounting level work with a focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). The successful candidate will be adept at using accounting software systems and QuickBooks, and have strong Excel skills. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions to manage accounting functions efficiently. Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely and accurate processing. Perform auditing tasks to identify and rectify discrepancies. Participate in budget processes, providing crucial input and analysis. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. Learn quickly and adapt to new accounting procedures and systems. Resolve customer credit inquiries and maintain accurate customer credit records. Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.Requirements Possesses a minimum of 1-year experience as an Accountant Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Demonstrable knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Auditing processes and procedures Knowledge of Budget Processes Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
