Job Title - Sr. Power BI-report developer

Duration: 6+ Months with possible extension

Job Requirement: - Sr. Power BI Reporting developer with 2+ years of experience in designing Power BI reports that include connecting with one or more backend applications and designing data models within Power BI to transform raw data into meaningful insights. Clearly understands the modelling concepts offered in Power BI that includes- data transformation, using advanced query editor, writing direct SQL, using merge query and append query options, working with Date and Time functions, understanding Star Schema, Use of parameters for data extraction as well as in power BI reports, incremental refresh of Power BI datasets, experienced on working with large datasets. Must be well versed in using common DAX expressions to meet various reporting needs. Knowledge of R Script and Python would be nice. Experience with creating and managing flows using power automate.

Job Responsibilities:

Individual is required to work with various business groups like Finance, Supply Chain, and Work Management to gather the reporting requirements, create FS-TS documents, Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights

2+ years of experience in Power BI space with 10+ years of overall experience. Design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions as per needs. Experience with DAX queries and functions, Data modeling in Power BI with multiple system connections. Well versed with SQL queries and connecting to SQL/Oracle and SAP systems, using direct SQL queries, understanding Star Schema, creating power BI reports, Dashboards, automating the data refresh and actively monitoring data refresh jobs and taking necessary action as needed

Using Power BI report builder to build paginated reports. Experience with creating and maintaining Power Automate flows

Would be nice if individual has experience working with SAP S4 HANA, Virtual Data Models(CDS Views), SAP Analysis office tool, not a requirement for this position

Good verbal and written communication skills to work with business users, being punctual in meetings. Able to work independently and must be a team player

Required to complete given tasks in timely manner, identify technical roadblocks and provide technical solutions to overcome those challenges, knowledgeable about system/tool limitations and providing alternate solutions

Individual should be able to troubleshoot implementations, identify and resolve any problems during implementation cycle. Perform Unit and integration testing, help business with UAT tasks. Adhere to companies change management process and SOX compliance
