Seeking an experienced Trailer Body Mechanic to work on big rig trailer body repairs. A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanic work and welding is required. The perfect candidate will have the experience needed on Trailers not Diesel Trucks and will have their own tools and steel toe boots. Repairs will include troubleshooting, mechanic maintenance, and welding repairs (check "duties" below). A background check and a drug test is required for this position and both must be cleared and passed.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm (occasional Saturday work & possibility of overtime)

Pay Rate: Up to $24/hour DOE

Physical Requirements:

- Physical demands include occasional dirty and noisy environment with work being performed in elevated workplace, occasional mechanical hazards and confined spaces.

- Physical demands also include walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and occasional lifting of more than 100 pounds.

Duties:

1. Clean work area upon arrival.

2. Inspect and perform service and repair on body of trailers.

3. Use hand tools, precision instruments and power tools to accomplish tasks.

4. Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.

5. Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.

6. Attach test instruments to equipment, read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions.

7. Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specification.

8. Protect company’s value by keeping information confidential.

9. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.

Requirements:

- A minimum of 2 years experience as a Trailer Mechanic

- Strong knowledge of trailer systems

- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Familiarity with industrial equipment used in trailer maintenance and repair

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
