Title: Enterprise Architect

Location : Initial remote (Memphis, TN

Type: Contract to hire. Job Details: Description: As a member of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team, the applicant will be responsible for partnering with our Business leaders and stakeholders and our Enterprise Technology Delivery teams to define and align Strategy and Roadmaps and support the successful execution of the Roadmaps through Programs and Projects with those partners. The Enterprise Architect will develop and document the understanding of the current state architectures and apply Principles, Standards and Patterns to develop Roadmaps and Project Architectures to support the continuous improvement and implementation of change. This will be a critical part of Enterprise Technology responding to the changing needs of our Business and the opportunities to leverage new technologies benefiting our internal and external customers.

The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure that integration technology decisions and blueprints align with the overall defined Enterprise Architecture Framework to achieve mid and long-term stated goals of our Enterprise Technology and Business organization.

The Enterprise Architect will build consensus within delivery initiatives and alignment between initiatives across the Enterprise. They will lead and guide the development and integration of business solutions following the organizations Enterprise Architecture Principles, Standards and Patterns and will design for high availability, governance, resilience, disaster recovery, etc.

The architect will explore emerging technologies to determine if and how it fits with the overall strategy. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Establish, adopt, refine, communicate and govern Enterprise Architecture Principles, Standards and Patterns for the organization
  • Partner closely with Business stakeholders to build Business Unit Roadmaps for each area that are aligned across Business Units and with the Technology long-term Goals and Strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Technology Delivery teams
  • Manage, design, and help develop architectures following industry best practices and methodologies for system integration.
  • Keep current with industry trends and development for technologies and assist in evaluating new platforms
  • Responsible for strategy & roadmap for emerging technologies
  • Research and share new trends and best practices within the industry/domain and identify ways to solve business problems. Train and share knowledge with development teams.
  • Work closely with project teams in designing and building solutions that are reusable, quick to market, and lower total cost of ownership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 10 years of IT experience
  • Working knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
  • Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills, basic project management skills and presentations skills
  • Be a skilled consensus-builder across Business and Technology stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of Application and Integration architectures
  • At least 3 years of experience with enterprise architecture standards, processes & tools, including IT Architecture stand ards, Technology trends.
  • At least 7 years of experience in application systems design, construction, implementation, and maintenance.
  • At least 7 years of experience working with technical design process and models.
  • Understanding of Enterprise data structures, Operational data stores, Warehouses and Data Marts.
  • Experience in Core processing systems as well as customer and associate-facing application technologies
  • Experience with SDLC / SW development processes (Agile & Waterfall).
Preferred Requirements:
  • 3 plus years of banking industry experience
  • Cloud computing experience
