Lead Carpenter and Laborer

Silfee’s Enterprise is a small business in East Stroudsburg, PA. We are professional, fast-paced and challenging.

We are looking for a full-time Skilled Carpenter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction process, such as framing installation (doors, windows, siding, shingles, etc.), finish carpentry, and clean up.

The candidate must possess a desire to work, be dependable, have a clean driving record, reliable transportation, be professional in both attitude and dress.

It is imperative that this individual be able to take instruction, as well as be able to work independently.

Additionally, responsibilities include: assist co-workers by carrying boards, tools and large equipment. Set up and tear down of tools and materials. Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards. Build and set forms for footings, walls, and slabs, and frame and finish exterior walls, roofs, and decks, frame interior walls, build stairs, and install drywall, crown molding, doors, and cabinets. Duties may also include: Digging trenches, back fill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction.

Requirements:

- Must have experience in carpentry, framing and finishing, interior / exterior remodeling, and residential construction.

- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.

- Must have a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

- Must follow safety protocols and regulations.

- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.

- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and drills.

- Assist in the installation of building materials.

Shift: Full-time, 8 hours shift, Monday – Friday

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
