Experienced Landscape Manager or Landscaper (Hummelstown)

We are interviewing for an experienced Landscaping Crew Manager who will be working on-site with the crew and has a minimum of 5 years landscaping experience.

This person will be in charge of the landscaping team, consisting of 1 to 5 other team members, depending on the time of season and type of job. They will work hand-in-hand with upper management to ensure that jobs are completed to the customers satisfaction and done in a timely manner.

In order to be considered for this position the following are required:

Valid Driver's License, must speak English, and be an American citizen or have a current work visa.

Knowledge Requirements:

Planting knowledge

Plant identification

Trimming

Pruning

Mulching

Spraying

Weeding

Edging

Operation of 2-cycle equipment

Operation and handling of trucks and trailers

Management Requirements:

You must be able to and be comfortable doing the following tasks -

General crew management

Knowing the proper equipment needed for daily jobs and ensuring it is in working condition and loaded on the trucks

Working hand-in-hand with upper management (asking questions, giving feedback and suggestions)

Managing breaks, lunches and job times

Talking to customers if/when needed

Reviewing job tasks and requirements at each job

Teaching/instructing or training your team when necessary

Delegating tasks

Scheduling pickups/deliveries/compost runs

Job site walk-through's (knowing the customer's expectations and ensuring the job is 100% complete)

Helping upper management with estimate times/materials and operational insight

Skills and Qualifications - wanted but not necessary:

DOT License (will be required if hired)

Plant disease

Irrigation/drainage background

Hardscaping

Tree Removal expertise

Landscape design

Mowing

Lawn Treatments/Fertilization

Spray License (will be required if hired)

Lawn Repair

Snow Plowing and Removal (working the winter will be required if hired)

Base Salary will be determined based on years of experience, ability, management experience, and what you bring to the culture and benefit of the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
