Hiring a Training & Development Specialist in a supportive People and Culture Team

This position will work standard business hours typically between Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the majority of work is performed remotely. However, this position does require occasional work at our administrative location and will involve interacting with new hires (in a socially distanced, group size limited setting).

The Training and Development Specialist works within the People and Culture Department in coordination and collaboration with agency partners in development, implementation and facilitation of live and on-line trainings and materials related to the agency needs and objectives. They will provide opportunities for employees to maintain and grow in their job functions and improve performance.

Who you are & your qualifications:

You are a fabulous communicator. Meaning you can both in writing and orally, effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. You have teaching skillspreferably, adult teaching and you have this because you already have at least a year of experience teaching or training behind you. You bring with you knowledge of curriculum design and implementation. You value the unique differences that each individual brings to the table and you don't care if that presents different from your own idea of "normal". You see cultural competency as an ongoing journey of learning. Oh, and you value a mission, because Cascadia is all about the mission.

Compensation

Starting wages are $55,432/yr. to $60,008/yr. Those with less than 3-years experience will start at the minimum and those with over 10-years experience will start at the maximum. We take into consideration experience and licenses/certification beyond the minimum requirement.
