Be a Second-Chance Family for Teens

The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is looking for engaging, nurturing and diverse individuals willing to work with youth as their foster parent(s). Many teens who come to OYA have never had a positive, supportive adult in their lives. It’s one of the biggest barriers to getting their lives back on track.

As an OYA foster parent, you can be their role model. You can provide youth ages 12 through 24 with a supportive, safe home, and the guidance to change their lives for the better.

You will receive training to help ensure your success as an OYA foster parent. You will have 24/7 access to OYA professionals who will answer your questions and support your success. The youth will have health care coverage through the Oregon Health Plan, and you will receive a monthly stipend to cover your expenses.
