Virtualization Engineer

Job DescriptionAssist in managing the as-is infrastructure Support and maintain 32 vCenters, 600 hosts, and 12,000 VMs Work within a large infrastructure environment utilizing VMware deployments ranging from 6.5 to 7.0.3 Provide support for specific DADC migration tasks if requested Contribute to day-to-day operations to alleviate workload strain on the existing virtualization team, including: Operation activities, patching, health checks, care and feeding Some strategic planning for migration (limited) vSphere Patching for in/out of band updates VxRail patching vROpS/Operations Manager on-boarding for central health reporting Hardware and vSphere Health Remediations (working with other teams and OEMs) Provisioning new legacy hosts into existing clusters to expand capacity in Valley Forge Partially automated using Ansible Tower Deprovisioning of ESXi hosts and clusters located in DDC as workloads migrate to DADC Arrange for return of deprovisioned hosts or clusters to HPE. Prioritize return OpEx hosts of CapExWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
