Part Time Line Cook needed at Cafe in Williamsburg

THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION

We are looking for excited, motivated, and experienced cooks to help us to continue to serve our all-day-cafe concept into the local neighborhood.

Our menu is fresh, healthy and Australian-focused, with creative and captivating dishes that look as good as they taste. Our focus is on making beautiful food that covers many cultures and flavors to bring together a new and exciting style of eating in the brunch-capital of Brooklyn. The ideal team member loves working in a fun, fast paced, team environment, thrives in a kitchen atmosphere, and is motivated by success, as well as team and individual growth.

We are looking for a strong cook who MUST be available on weekends. Our current hours are from 7am - 4pm everyday, and until 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Availability to work between the hours of 6:30am to 5pm daily (sometimes later) is essential.

Responsibilities:

Cooking the entire menu to order, strong focus on presentation

Check freshness and quality of ingredients

Ensure kitchen is properly cleaned and packed down at end of shift, occasional dishwashing required

Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests

Prepping ingredients, stocktaking

Occasional dishwashing as required

Qualifications:

Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields

Passion for food and cooking techniques

Strong team-working qualities

Ability to both work well alone and follow instructions

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, sense of urgency

NYC Food Handlers card, or working towards, a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15-20 Per Week (2-3 Days Max)
