Café Hiring Full Time Barista / Daytime Manager

We are a local, artist-owned cafe and cocktail bar in Ridgewood hiring a daytime barista for our coffee and lunch/brunch service. We have a beautiful and spacious outdoor patio ready to open for spring.

The job is full time and involves running of all aspects of the daytime service: Making espresso drinks, serving tables, serving a small lunch menu (brunch on weekends), serving wine, beer, cocktails when needed.

Must be very self reliant, motivated to be an integral part of a great local space and familiar with keeping inventory and daily upkeep of the cafe operation, communication with night staff and owners.

The right candidate is well versed and at home in the service industry with a great work ethic, highly service oriented and motivated with eagerness to learn and adapt to being part of a team and a vibrant atmosphere, knowledgable in beverage and food service and able to work at a high pace while remaining calm and attentive to patrons.

- Comprehensive Barista/coffee skills.

- Experience and familiarity within the world of wine and craft beer.

- Cocktail skills and restaurant experience is a plus. Please tell us about any experience in these fields.

- Must have Food Handlers Certificate or be willing to obtain one.

- Dependable and a good communicator.

- Polite and respectful.

- Able to speak and understand English.

- Must have availability to work full time.

- Experience is a requirement but we do not require "New York Work Experience". International applicants welcome.
