Nestled in the heart of NYC, we offer an opportunity to become a part of a unique team dedicated to making literature accessible and enjoyable.
Your role: Bookstand Sales Associate
What the Gig is Like:
The hours are 10am-6pm every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and some Thursdays if you're available.
This is a part-time seasonal position from April-October, with the potential for returning annually.
The base pay is $400 a week plus tips for every book sold beyond the minimum requirement. Most people make between $450-600 per week!
You'll be selling (2) poetry books from one author, both are easy great reads.
Meeting a daily sales quota of 10-15 books per day is essential to remain employed with us.
Work both indoors and outdoors, exploring different corners of New York City and meeting interesting customers.
Job Type: Part-time Salary: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week

Ideal Candidate:
An engaging, positive and social personality.
Comfortable with in-person work and meeting a lot of people throughout the course of a day.
Previous sales experience + good at sales.
Passion for poetry, books, reading, literature, and the arts.
A committed and hardworking attitude, ready to go the extra mile.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with inquiries and purchases.
Meet daily sales quota of 10-15 books per day.
Showcase our books, articulating their background with clarity and enthusiasm.
Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales and enhance revenue.
Being trustworthy and maintaining integrity when handling cash transactions.
