Equipment Field Mechanic

We are a small business based out of Moriarty, NM with customers statewide looking to grow. We service and repair equipment of all sizes with an emphasis on construction equipment and power generation. We are an authorized Kubota Engines America full service dealer, Generac dealer, and Wildcat Power Dealer.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Field Mechanic to join our team. As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, compact equipment and generators used in construction and other industries. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical systems and equipment, along with a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on various types of heavy equipment, compact equipment, light diesel pickups, generators, etc.

Diagnose and repair mechanical malfunctions in a timely manner

Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment

Safely operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, lifting equipment including service truck cranes and forklifts

Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience as a mechanic, preferably in a field service role

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, and equipment

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment

Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship

Self starting attitude and ability to work solo

Excellent time management skills

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience with equipment

Own set of tools

Clean driving record

Willingness to submit to initial and random drug tests.

Pay is DOE, (the more you know and the more you hustle the more you will make) employee is subject to a 60 day probation period. Service truck will be a take home truck at the end of the 60 day probationary period.
