Appointment Type Full Time Regular Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt General Function The Property Control Manager is responsible for all the University’s warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, delivering, shipping, and disposal of widely diversified and specialized supplies, equipment, and furniture. The Property Control Manager establishes and maintains asset management and accountability over all supplies and equipment received by the University, ensures that equipment above the inventory threshold level is properly tagged and recorded in the Property Control database, resolves damage and specification issues with the manufacturer, distributor, and/or delivery company, enforces policies and procedures regarding the proper storage and accountability of items in dispute, and supervises daily distribution of supplies and equipment to various University departments.Description of Primary Duties The Property Control Manager is responsible for all the University’s warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, delivering, shipping, and disposal of widely diversified and specialized supplies, equipment, and furniture. Experience with computerized inventory or receiving procedures is required. Experience in operating various motor vehicles, light delivery vehicles, and a forklift is required. Supervisory experience is preferred.Skills: Effective interpersonal communication skills are required. The ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel is required. The ability to learn to use and maintain the electronic purchasing system is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.Effort: Lifting and moving equipment and supplies weighing up to 100 pounds daily is required.
