Product Development Assistant Meridian, ID (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=2901+E.+Pine+Ave.+Meridian+ID+USA+83642) Consultant SalesDescriptionScentsy is looking for aProduct Development Assistantto support Product Development (PD) in managing inventory of sample products.What You Would Do:

Receive, inventory, and store sample products as they are delivered to the Product Development department

Monitor, catalog, and prepare sample inventory ensuring all PD inventory is tracked as it is checked-out and checked-in

Identify and manage active golden sample inventory to support catalog photography, in-house testing, and outside regulatory testing

Work with designers and engineers to track incoming samples

Coordinate inventory of samples and notify stakeholders of samples status (e.g. arrived, in testing, measurements verified, evaluation, broken, etc.)

Photograph samples for distribution to the PD team

Photograph and edit survey photos for distribution through other departments

Prepare and send photos for legal review

Create specifications for products to be surveyed

Clean, organize, update and maintain show room and PD storage rooms Ensure samples for regulatory or consumer testing are returned to the PD room and follow-up on status when they have been checked out

Provide technical support to measure samples based on specifications

Assist with testing efforts, analyze testing data, and report results, including abnormalities and areas of concern as needed

Prepare and ship products as needed

Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed

You Should Have:

High school diploma or equivalent

Associates degree in product design/development or other related area preferred

Experience with consumer products preferred

Things You Should Know & Be Able to Do:

Knowledge of Scentsy product lines, inter-company employee responsibilities, and international business practices

Familiarity of the regulatory requirements in other countries and how it can impact new product development and processes

Strong organizational skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Clear and direct written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multitask

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Ability to take ownership of assigned projects

Self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Problem solver with the ability to evaluate, identify, and communicate issues as they arise

Regularly works around raw chemicals and strong scents

Occasionally may work around production equipment

Ability to work at a computer station and view a computer screen for extended periods of time

Working knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Microsoft Office Suite
