ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Provides leadership, management, and development opportunities to the department team members;

Develop,execute,andapprovecontractualagreementsregarding,butnotlimitedtobuilding maintenance, custodial services, landscaping, heating and cooling, elevators, and pest control;

Manage and process utility invoicing in a timely and accuratemanner;

Serve as the main point of contact for disaster services and risk management needs within the Grand Rapidscampus;

Review and process all internal furniture and equipment orders in accordance with departmental policy andprocedure;

Manage vehicle inventory and the vehicle requestprocess;

Oversee and maintain the internal stock of resources related to buildingmanagement;

Serve as an active member of the Safety Committee and attend monthlymeetings;

Review internal work orders in email, by phone, Zendesk, and Corporaterequest;

Develop and routinely communicate project management expectations and timelines to stakeholders involved in theproject;

Oversee vehicle maintenance, snow removal, and officemoves;

Oversee office re-configuration, ergonomic set-up, and interior design work and samples, while working collaboratively with Human Resources, as necessary;

Maintain the Facilities Department budget in collaboration with theCFO;

OverseeandmaintainfiresuppressionsystemsandAEDequipmenttoensurebuildingsafety;

Work collaboratively with the Information Technology Department for construction purposes;

Develop anticipatory plans for planned routine maintenance, facility, and vehicle down time ;

Ensureagencypoliciesandproceduresareenforcedthroughcompletionofstaffevaluations, conference request, time sheets and reimbursementvouchers;

Developanddirecttheimplementationofacomprehensiveprocesstoensurethatcurrent facility records (deeds, property surveys, building plans, material specifications, etc.

are maintained in an organized and accessible manner;

Directthepreparationofbidderqualifications,advertisementsforbids,andcontractawards;

Perform all duties in accordance with federal, state, local laws andregulations;

Stay up-to-date on building code requirements, contractor requirements through online education systems, and networking withcontractors;

Complete other duties asassigned.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s level degree from an accreditedcollege;

Prior work experience in building maintenance and similar facilitiesfunctions;

At least three (3) years of experience managingothers;

Must possess an ability and desire to work effectively with a group of diverse individuals across all levels of staff both internally andexternally;

Must be a team player who can relate to and work collaboratively with internal and external customers;

Demonstrated ability to manage and effectively prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively underpressure;

Must possess an ability to work in an atmosphere of collegial decision-making and demonstrate consensus-building skills;

Must be able to work with a variety of individuals to problem-solve, communicate solutions and apply correctiveactions;

Demonstrated ability to assess consumer short-term needs and anticipate long-term requirements;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, while presenting a professional presence at alltimes;

Mustpossessexcellentobservationandorganizationalskills,whilemeetingqualitystandards and time sensitivedeadlines;

Must demonstrate a high level of integrity andconfidentiality;

Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential jobfunctions;

Active motor vehicle license with a reliable automobile and adequate insurancecoverage;

Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agencyregistries;

Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Cultural DiversityCommitment.
