Massachusetts, Cambridge, 02138 Cambridge USAJob DescriptionHow will you make an impact?This role will directly impact our mission of making the world healthier by leading a team of business development professionals and commercial leaders in the Biosciences Commercial Supply organization. In this role, you will lead a team of experience business development leaders and their team of professionals with a focus on driving growth by supplying Life Science Solutions group technologies to diagnostic, life science tool, and therapeutic customers, on a commercial supply basis for the development & manufacturing of their technologies, products and customers.Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Senior Managers and business development professionals, enabling them to exceed their revenue goals in the commercial supply space
Develop and implement go-to-market strategies that align to those of our business unit internal partners
Develop strategic plans for key customers, market segments, and the North American region to ensure long term growth and profitability of the LSG commercial supply business
Accountable for developing and driving strategies to accelerate revenue in the diagnostic, life science and nucleic acid therapeutic markets
Negotiate multiyear, multimillion dollar Commercial Supply contracts with key customers in the therapeutic, life science tools, diagnostic, and applied market segments
Build standard processes across the organization including CRM, training, forecasting, planning, and sales processes to drive commercial excellence
Facilitate sophisticated, deals and projects between customers and our internal partner organizations while acting as an internal champion to ensure strong execution
Build the annual operating plan for the business development team and align the revenue targets and goals to the objectives of the Biosciences Division
Participate in the annual strategic planning process and work within a highly matrixed organization, ensuring effective process of the strategy
Continue the culture and focus on Talent attraction, development, and retention while maintaining the focus of exporting top talent across the enterprise
Represent Biosciences Commercial Supply team within the North American BID commercial leadership team and with senior leaders across the division
Continually look to improve the sales processes, people, and sales coverage within the business applying our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the BID selling organization
How will you get here?
Requires a bachelor’s of science degree in any life science
Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred
Requires 8 plus years of relevant commercial experience and leading high functioning commercial teams and leaders
Experience leading a commercial organization, passionate about key markets including biotech, pharma, diagnostics, and life science tools with a minimum of $200M in revenue
Proven capability to develop and translate sales strategy into a tactical plan that achieves and drives market top line growth
Proven development of major account relationships at top level (C-level, VPs and Directors) with life science, IVD, and therapeutic and diagnostic companies
Excellent presentation and communications skills; ability to assimilate sophisticated concepts and clearly articulate business value
Shown experience in employee recruitment, development, and retention
Ability to think critically, articulate a vision, and encourage others to follow, collaboratively across selling teams in a complex commercial ecosystem to leverage scale and accelerate growth
In depth understanding of technologies across molecular, cellular and immunobiology and their applications in commercial supply
Willing to travel extensively up to 50%.
