Abel’s Lobster is an independent, chef-owned and operated, bustling waterfront eatery with a from-scratch kitchen that produces modern Maine cuisine and top-notch service. We’re seeking enthusiastic, hardworking, and dedicated professionals with positive attitudes to join our already awesome team!

As a key member of the management staff, the general manager (GM) is responsible for daily restaurant management at Abel’s Restaurant (On The Shore, LLC). They are responsible for supervising restaurant staff and for management collaboration with the Executive and Sous Chefs as well as the Bar Manager and Front of House Management. The ideal candidate for this position must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor with guests and staff, as well as effectively making use of downtime. Strong leadership and personnel management skills should be accompanied by a customer service orientation and commitment to company values and image. The GM pays close attention to all operational details to ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of guests and job satisfaction of staff, as well as playing a key role in the financial and operational success of the business.

Work begins ASAP through late October 2024. Excellent pay. Positive, CLEAN, fun, team-emphasis environment with supportive ownership. The 2024 staff is FULLY HIRED for the season, including back of house.
