Eliassen Group is helping a large government contractor find a Senior RedHat Administrator.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. We offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Senior RedHat Administrator:

Help implement systems and software updates
Deploy RHEL patches and platform updates
Document processes, procedures and configurations
Perform daily operations support functions
Identify, isolate, and resolve problems
Provide status updates of task and project updates
Provide system administration support
Troubleshoot platform and application issues

Requirements of the Senior RedHat Administrator:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 8 years of experience in a training-related field
7+ years of experience as a RHEL 7.x/8.x Platform Administration
7+ years of experience with performance tuning & troubleshooting, identifying and resolving memory, CPU, access, networking, disk I/O, etc.
5+ years of experience working Virtual Platforms
5+ years of experience working with Ansible Playbooks
3+ years of experience with scripting languages for automation tasks and deployments
Expertise in the Linux command-line environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
