Lab Technician

Description:

Will be handling tasks in support of scientific research.

Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.

Assist in the execution of plant sample tissue collection in the field and greenhouse.

Prepare and process tissue samples Lyophilize tissue weighing of lyophilized tissues cleaning of equipment lab organization inventory etc.

Supports submission of tissue samples for analysis.

Assist in maintaining database for tissue sample tracking.

Assist in communicating with research personnel expression laboratories and field teams.

Work with Greenhouse lead and assist weekly greenhouse activities

Tissue sampling and submission cleaning plant movement and organization.

Supports assay lead in insect assay/experiments and data collection.
