Cemetery Superintendent
Hawaii, Hawaii, 96801 Hawaii USANorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Cemetery Superintendent at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kaneohe, Hawaii - On the beautiful Island of Oahu. With a collaborative team structure, a Superintendent can make a lasting impact, driving the entrepreneurial spirit that defines us and our teams.
Provide our client families with beautiful and serene grounds that honor their loved ones and provide a place for them to grieve and reflect. Provide exceptional turf management which includes all related properties. Work closely with Managing Partners to maximize sales and growth potential threw beautification, expansion projects, restoration, and day-to-day maintenance. Applicant must be passionate about honoring legacies and heritage through beautification, restoration, and stewardship of the MOST BEAUTIFUL Memorial Park on the face of the earth.
Responsibilities
Ensure the ability to maintain grounds in superb condition while remaining within budgetary guidelines.
Provide an effective staff to achieve goals for assigned areas of responsibility. Manage Union and Non-Union Teams
Ensure proper completion of all grounds and building remodeling, layout changes, and special projects.
Maintain positive relations with client families and internal customers.
Through continuing education, sustain innovative operating methods in all areas of responsibility.
Maintain a professional image with members, employees, and the community.
Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times.
Ability to come to work regularly and on time, to follow directions, to take criticism, to get along with co-workers and supervisors, to treat co-workers, supervisors, and client families/guests with respect and courtesy, and to refrain from abusive, insubordinate, and/or aggressive behavior.
Perform other duties as directed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all personnel functions by developing, maintaining, and evaluating personnel in effective, efficient, and safe work procedures.
Manage equipment, materials, and resources effectively.
Achieve department goals through the development and management of an effective budget.
Schedule and assign work to be performed.
Follow up and review all work performed.
Ensure a safe environment for employees, client families, and their guests.
Qualifications
Prior experience in turf management and team leadership, preferred
Ability to operate large machinery and equipment
Passion for honoring legacies and creating serene memorial grounds
Pay Range: $70,000-75,000/yr.
