Distribution Engineer

Job Details:

5+ years of experience preferred

Significant experience dealing with commercial/industrial customers with complex distributions systems (network, auto-transfer multi feeder, distribution ductline)

Significant electric utility project management experience including organized approach, time management of multiple projects, strong communication skills, ability to create and manage construction timelines (Gantt Charts), lead pre-construction meetings

Distribution High Voltage Switching experience to predict needs.

Description:Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes:

Proficient with MS office products and related engineering Software highly desired (JETS, Socket, CYME, ARMS)

Strong Technical Engineering Skills and understanding of Power Systems

General engineering and construction principles

Knowledge of electrical system operations, distribution systems, underground and overhead construction practices.

Ability to prioritize and organize work to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines

Ability to effectively communicate with customers, customer service, line crew and engineers.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Effective project management skills.

Working knowledge of NESC

Education and Experience:Preferred - Not Required

2-year accredited Technical Degree

4-year accredited Technical degree

Distribution and/or related Engineering experience with a power utility company is a plus.
