Communications Specialist

Description Job Title: Mid-Level Communications Specialist (4-6 Month Contract)Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid: 2-3 Days On-Site)Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to support our communications efforts and help us effectively convey our message to our target audience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, exceptional writing and editing skills, and a keen eye for detail. This position will be based in Atlanta, GA, with the flexibility to work onsite 2-3 days per week on a 4-6 month contract with the opportunity for extension. Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic communication plans to support company initiatives and goals.

Create compelling content for various communication channels, including press releases, website content, social media posts, and marketing materials.

Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and ensure messaging consistency across all channels.

Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for engagement and thought leadership.

Assist in the planning and execution of events, including conferences, webinars, and networking events.

Support internal communication efforts to keep employees informed and engaged.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.

3+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or related field.

Excellent writing, editing, and prooing skills, with a strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with content management systems and social media platforms.

Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
