job detailsjob summary:Industry leading, very reputable and well established manufacturing company is looking for a promotable Maintenance Improvement Engineer in the Gainesville, FL area. This is not a remote or hybrid position so all candidates must be willing to work 100% of the time in a manufacturing plant.This role comes with a very competitive compensation plan commensurate with experience with a base salary ranging from $85k to $95 plus a 20% annual target bonus and relocation assistance.All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.location: Gainesville, Floridajob type: Permanentsalary: $85,000 - 95,000 per yearwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
Develop scope of work, engineering and detail work requirements for improvement work orders.
Develop cost projections for improvement work.
Design and implement projects from the construction phase to the completed project.
Develop new equipment files as it relates to new installations.
Develop equipment parts catalog for all new equipment.
Maintain an equipment specification database to serve as a tool in support of the continual improvement inspection and planning functions.
Participate in the developement of the annual maintenance dept. budget to enhance reliability, equipment availability and reduction of cost for maintenance operations.
Develop and maintain an improvement project backlog within the SAP.
Develop strategies to improve AI implementation as a predictive maintenance tool.
Lead the team in investigations of chronic problems, research, design and implementation of improvement solutions using root-cause analysis.
Lead the continuous improvement program for maintenance.
Research new methods and programs to improve equipment reliability, expected life span of equipment and reduce maintenance cost.
Participate in the Maintenance Supervisor On-Call Program.
EducationBachelor's Degree Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringTechnical knowledge and certifications
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
Previous experience using Microsoft Outlook and Excel, Project Management, SAP and CAD
