This role may be for you if you are a self-starter and a problem solver who enjoys working in a positive, dynamic environment. The PC Technician Role is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity and will be located in the Deerfield Beach, Florida region.Major responsibilities
Diagnose, restore, rebuild, and refurbish computer hardware, such as PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and additional IT equipment
Help test functionality and support end users
Break down, box and ship old equipment
Install printers, troubleshoot problems and make repairs
Manage imaging and preparation for new computers
Arrange repairs with the suitable vendors
Interface with ticket submitters regularly and effectively
Take down, pack, transport and set up/install on site
Handle data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware along with break/fix
Ensure sound electronic data records by adhering to company quality standards
Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out
Track equipment inventory, and suggest and assist with purchases
Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities Requirements - Well versed in network design and implementation strategies
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Solid understanding of Imaging Devices
Strong familiarity with End-User Support
Basic Troubleshooting experience preferred
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures
1 - 3 years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
