District of Columbia, Washington 00000 Washington USAMola is a rebranded and start-up restaurant in Adams Morgan elevating Panamanian-Caribbean cuisine found in home kitchens, serving food made from scratch, crafted cocktails, freshly pressed juices and our own line of Panamanian coffee.
We are looking for part-time or full-time Pastry Line Cooks who are energetic, enthusiastic, and eager to create special experiences for our guests. As a Line Cook, you’ll create and execute dishes from scratch according to the recipe, while upholding cleanliness, preciseness and decision-making abilities. Along with other dishes available on the menu, you’ll be wrapping empanadas with housemade dough, pan-frying the empanada per order, and plating dishes with care and detail. We offer a unique experience with our open kitchen, where our guests get to view the process of the food being made. Because of this, you exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow colleagues. Honesty and dependability are required.
Pastry Line Cook Primary Responsibilities:
Understands and appreciates Caribbean food
Setting up and helping to prep station for service
Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing doughs & sauces.
Cooks food items by frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces during and at the end of the shift.
Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
Speak to current menu offerings and ingredients with guests.
Follow continuous training and directions, as well as self-manage one’s time
Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and coworkers
Education and Experience Requirements
One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast pace environment
Must be able to multi-task and move in the kitchen for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift, push and pull moderate amounts of weight up to 50 lbs
Flexible availability required including early mornings, weekends and holidays
Familiar with industry best practices

Average hourly wage rate greater than $20 with tips.
