Why Contract with Parker Personal Care Homes?

For providers with only adults living in the home - Do you have behavioral management experience or are you open to extensive training? Do you believe that everyone, regardless of ability or past issues, deserves an opportunity to live safely, happily and meaningfully within their community? Are you willing to serve an individual with a history of sexualized behaviors? Are you looking for a long-term relationship with an experienced company and a supportive culture?

We are committed to developing long-term relationships between individuals and providers, so we only introduce people who seem to be a great long-term match for one another. We understand the commitment involved in being a host home provider and we know that serving someone with a history of sexualized behavior requires a special commitment and supports. For these reasons, we are also offering outcome-based payments for long-lasting partnerships. While PPCH offers comprehensive supports and competitive daily rates for all host home providers, for those who qualify, we are also offering an additional:

1. $500.00 – 90 days after you begin serving an individual

2. $500.00 – 180 days after you begin serving an individual

3. $1,000.00 – 1 year after you began serving an individual

How to Qualify:

In addition to fulfilling the conditions of PPCH’s host home provider contract:

1. This program is open to new providers only. Only applicants who have not served clients with PPCH previously can qualify.

2. Providers should not have children living in or visiting the home (including friends’ children, grandchildren, etc.)

3. Providers must be willing to take additional and informed supervision trainings with an approved trainer

4. Providers must serve the individual for a full qualifying period (90 days, 180 days, 1 year)

5. Providers must always maintain the individual’s supervision requirements, whether they are determined by the courts, probation, or the inter-disciplinary team

6. Providers must carefully follow behavior plans and provide transportation to all needed therapy appointments and court appearances (where applicable)

7. Providers must ensure that if the individual is a registered sex offender, that he or she fulfills all registration requirements.

8. Providers must meet PPCH standards for compliance in the following areas: household/screening, home inspections, contractor file, training, service documentation and electronic record-keeping, appointments, and billing and attendance.

Additional Information:

Providers must meet all criteria above in order to qualify for PPCH’s outcome-based payments.

In general, providers must receive informed supervision trainings prior to serving an individual who is a sex offender.

For providers who do not make the qualifying period, or who fail to meet one of the other criteria above, but who otherwise honor their contracts, no penalties or fees apply, you simply will not qualify for the additional payments; standard reimbursement will remain unchanged.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What if my family is expecting to have a child? Since this could conflict with the individual’s probation or other legal requirements, or because it could constitute a significant risk, please contact a team member immediately for support.

What if I already applied to a different posting and want to be considered for this one? For those who have applied to other host home postings, we will ask questions to see if you qualify for this program and can provide you with more info if you do!

What if I already serve an individual, either with PPCH or with another company? Can I still qualify? This program was approved for new PPCH providers only, but we love partnerships! If you currently work with another PASA and are interested in serving another individual, we would love to hear from you! If you already serve an individual with PPCH, you do not qualify for this program.

What if I change my mind? There is no penalty if you or your team find a better match, please just remember that you will not qualify for the outcome-based payments. Please also be sensitive: if you change your mind after we have introduced you to an individual or family, this can have serious consequences for them and their services. It will be best if we all do our research ahead of time to find the best program for you and your home.

What about referral bonuses? Are they honored in conjunction with this program? Yes! This program is not intended to replace referral bonuses. It is intended to reward new providers for developing and maintaining wheelchair accessible supports and services.

We provide all of the necessary training for our Host Home Providers to be successful in the field including but in the areas of Developmental Disabilities, CPR, First Aid, medication administration and behavioral safety training, Rights, Confidentiality etc.
