Service Technician

Bobcat of Ventura is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team. As the authorized Bobcat dealer in Ventura County, we are dedicated to delivering an industry-leading customer experience. Our team brings a wealth of knowledge and ambition to their work every day.

Our mission is to be the first choice for customers when purchasing equipment in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

Education and Skills Requirements:

- Knowledge in the mechanical field; 2-5 years of prior experience required.

- Must possess own tools; diagnostic and manufacturer-specific tools will be provided.

- High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred but not required.

- Vocational education or certification is a plus.

- Ability to lift approximately 70 lbs.

- Maintain a professional personal appearance.

- Utilize mathematics to solve problems.

- Clear English communication; knowledge of another language is a plus.

Position Tasks & Activities:

- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and fuel levels.

- Notify supervisor of warranty situations before initiating repairs.

- Complete work orders for internal and external repairs.

- Report equipment failures and safety violations to the supervisor.

- Analyze equipment malfunctions and perform repairs.

- Utilize professional troubleshooting techniques for equipment repair.

- Maintain company vehicles.

- Assist yard, warehouse, and delivery personnel as needed.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

- Standing for extended periods.

- Indoor and outdoor work with general warehouse conditions; some areas may lack heating or air conditioning.

- Interaction with co-workers and the public.

- Frequent lifting, walking, bending, and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions.

- Exposure to chemicals, including gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents. A sense of smell is required due to the potential hazard of propane.
