Senior Digital Designer (Temporary Position)

Job Description

Do you look at a problem and see multiple creative solutions, love working collaboratively with teammates, and can own projects from beginning to end? If so, we are looking for you to join and add to our fun, dynamic team! As our Sr. Digital Designer, you will work closely with our creative, eCommerce, and marketing teams to develop compelling digital assets that connect your design decisions to business objectives. You will get the chance to learn about our customers and the business, collaborate with teammates on a strategic level from brainstorming to final execution. This is a short term assignment planned to last through January 2021.

Our Sr. Digital Designer will report to our Art Director.

• Design online marketing materials, including email, PPC banners, Social Media campaigns, and website assets to create a consistent experience and unique brand story
• Effectively brainstorm, sketch and mockup multiple visual ideas to satisfy business requirements
• Collaborate with user experience designers to turn wireframes and concepts into compelling, beautifully-crafted experiences
• Provide final UI designs with specifications for developers
• Follow our style guides and pattern libraries, and ensure consistent implementation
• Manage multiple priorities/projects under tight deadlines, working independently and/or with the creative team
• Clearly articulate design decisions and analyze briefs to gain clarity before execution
• Manage feedback positively with a focus on finding a win, win solution
• Be brand and customer eccentric

• Bachelor’s degree in Web/Graphic Design, or have equivalent work experience
• 4+ years’ experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment focused on digital/responsive design
• An online portfolio (please specify which work was created 100% by you vs. by a team)
• Proficient in Sketch, Photoshop and Illustrator with the ability to produce organized files with sensible layer structures and naming
• Knowledge of basic HTML
• Impeccable eye for detail and consistency
• Support process, proactively identifying challenges while recommending solutions
• Meet deadlines and see projects through to completion
• Resourceful and self-motivated
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Availability to commit to 30 – 40 hours per week
• Desire to have fun at work!

• Experience in video creation and animation
• Knowledge of CSS and new standards such as HTML5/CSS3
• Knowledge of Print design
• Familiarity with InDesign, Trello, Jira and Google Web Designer
