Job Description: The Product Service Engineering team is looking for an individual who can excel in a dynamic fast-paced environment. This experience will involve testing prototype fixtures and processes that will enable service and repair of new products. You'll have a chance to learn about things such as the engineering development lifecycle, test solution architecture, design of experiments, test equipment qualification and hardware bring up, data analysis, and project management. If you want to apply the existing troubleshooting skills that you've developed as a technician into different types of products - this is the experience for you!

Scope Summary:
  • You will work in a cross-functional lab environment testing hardware and software for prototype factory and retail test equipment
  • Troubleshoot unique hardware and software problems
  • Run lab experiments to root cause test issues and provide solutions
  • Provide feedback on fixture bring up, design and usability
  • Support overseas teams by providing remote debugging support
  • Work with cross-functional teams to launch new repair programs
  • Organize and maintain test equipment and materials

Preferred Candidate:
  • Technical experience with iPhone or Mac hardware debug, ideally in a retail or lab setting
  • Curious, ready, and willing to learn
  • Self-directed, independent individual who is hands-on
  • Strong ability to communicate concisely and effectively with hardware/software engineers
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated history of taking initiative above and beyond current job responsibilities
  • Capability to troubleshoot and resolve unusual problems, both at work and outside of work
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and scripting a plus but not required
