Reporting into the Director of Wholesale, the Wholesale Manager Strategic Accounts is a critical member of this team. He/she is responsible for partnering with the Director and cross functional teams to develop and execute the strategy, business development, and management of 3rd party strategic Wholesale partners across both brick and mortar and ecommerce channels. The Wholesale, Manager Strategic Accounts will need to partner cross-functionally within the organization across functions including product, marketing, visual, and consumer insights to ensure successful execution and development of these strategic relationships. Armed with a strong point of view he / she is charged with ownership of assigned marketplace, execution of business plans, sales and margin accountability, calendar adherence, and cross functional leadership. With expert level thinking and insight, the Wholesale Manager will own relevant information on consumer and the competitive landscape. They will also assist the Wholesale Director in identifying trends, product, price point, and sales opportunities, business strategy plans and analysis. This role is the consumer, market, and storytelling expert on the team armed with strong presentation skills.What you'll doPartner closely with cross-functional teams ( finance / planning / merch / marketing / ecomm / GapTech) to lead and deliver pre and in-season execution across Partners

Create seasonal product assortments and flows for key wholesale accounts. Partner with Marketing & Digital teams to create and manage seasonal timelines for wholesale accounts

Builds and maintains intradepartmental relationships with all cross functional teams. Leads, as necessary, cross functional teams to address any strategic or tactical needs of strategic Wholesale Partners. Present market research information to key internal teams in a comprehensive, clear and tactical manner

Partner with Wholesale Director to identify, develop and manage brand-right strategic Wholesale relationships for the Athleta brand across both brick + mortar and ecommerce

Understands sales, margin, turn, and merchandising requirements of buyers and can digest and analyze data from sell-through reports. Examines, reports and tracks success and failure of the company's products in the marketplace, and determines reasons for success or failure

Manages, distributes and maintains all information for wholesale accounts, assortment plans, visual CAD templates, etc.

Manage, in conjunction with the Legal team, the negotiation, deal creation and structuring, and contract development for new accounts and re-negotiation for existing accounts. Facilitate due diligence reviews of selected Partners and ensure that all Partners adhere to contractual obligations and Gap Inc. standards

Who you are4 Year Bachelor’s Degree required, and 5+ years of retail experience, ideally in Buyer/Merch or Account Management / Business Development roles

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and interact with all levels of management

Demonstrated track record in managing projects from concept to execution, with ability to think strategically and proactively

Strong negotiation skills

Detail oriented with strong follow through
