Reporting to the Financial Manager, the position will provide overall financial support and oversee all payment activities for key revenue departments in the audience and development divisions. Departments include Corporate Sponsorship, Development, Events, Marketing, Audience Development and Audience Intelligence. The position will also assist with financial support for KQED administrative departments, such as Finance and the President?s Office.
Support the overall procurement process. Activities will include creating requisitions as needed, receiving goods and services within the accounting system and distributing Purchase Orders, including terms and conditions, to vendors. Collect documentation for received good and services in the accounting system (e.g., packing slip, bill of lading, receiving log)
Collaborate with Accounts Payable team on financial inquiries as needed
Complete the AMEX reconciliation as well as expense reimbursements
Assist the Financial Analyst with month end financial reporting
Complete monthly journal entries as necessary
Ad hoc analysis and reporting directed by the Manager as needed.
Knowledge/Experience Required:
At least 2-3 years relevant experience in accounts payable, accounting or general finance
Oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with cross-functional departments with a customer service orientation
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Communicate with key stakeholders on available spending levels
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge/Experience Desired
Previous experience with financial systems in a mid or large size organization
General understanding of budgets and a good aptitude with numbers
Strong initiative with an ability to work independently and prioritize to meet deadlines
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
