Job Summary

We are seeking a senior software developer/IT Lead with a background in financial services. You will be an individual contributor in the Corporate and Investment Banking Technology (CIBT) organization, providing application support on a range of systems, documenting requirements for a variety of small to large projects, and acting as one of the primary developers in the Capital Markets Derivatives technology team (bug fixes, improvements, large project initiatives). This role requires working closely with MUFG Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Quality Engineering teams and various vendors.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, execute and support Derivatives applications.
  • Analyze user requests and contribute to the design and implementation of new products/projects.
  • Develop structures, forms, and outputs based on business and/or application requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct tests and project implementation, documenting projects in accordance with bank policies.
  • Organize the work assignments of key technical projects, and communicates to all project participants in a clear and concise way, using agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

The right candidate will have:
  • 5+ years experience working as a software developer in the Finance industry (C#, .NET, Java, Python, VBA)
  • Strong database / SQL skills and in-depth experience in batch programming
  • Exposure to Derivatives such as Interest Rate and Foreign Exchange Options
  • High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision
  • Prior experience working with vendor trading systems such as Murex, Calypso, or Sophis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Information Systems or Computer Science
