Whether you bring years of experience in the hospitality industry or are looking to apply your existing skill set to a new role, we are interested in adding a personable, detail-oriented person to our bed and breakfast staff. The ideal candidate will be eager to collaborate to create an idyllic, luxurious guest experience. In collaboration with our team and supportive owner, they possess the business skill, attention to detail and flexibility to successfully run a 4 unit bed and breakfast. The opportunity also exists to assist in sales and overall management of the property. We want you to bring your current strengths to this position and continue to learn and grow with us both in the hospitality and wine industry.Job Overview

An innkeeper wears many hats throughout their career and day alike. First and foremost, they are the friendly face of our inn’s staff. They must be courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful for arriving and established guests. Since our guests’ comfort and satisfaction are of the utmost importance, innkeepers are required to perform numerous tasks, within reason, for the benefit of the customers. They are also required to treat customers with respect, showing great tact and restraint at times.Responsibilities

- Guest Check-In/Check-Out

- Maintaining accurate records of current and past guests.

- Surveying the inn for cleanliness and maintenance issues.

- Assisting with maintenance and cleaning as much as needed.

- Suggesting renovations and upgrades.

- Networking within the industry.

- Answering phone calls and replying to emails.

- Taking reservations.

- Scheduling meals or kitchen services.

- Scheduling supplies deliveries.

- Coordinating with laundry/linen services.

- Cleaning and maintaining common areas.

- Restocking amenities.

- Must be a team player and maintain a positive attitude.Necessary Skills & Qualifications

- Strong ability to communicate effectively, through both written and spoken word.

- Attention to detail.

- Ability to manage people and a small to medium-size business.

- Experience with maintaining property.

- At ease talking to customers.

- A strong personal work ethic.

- Off-hours availability.Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Degree in Hospitality or 4+ years of experience

- Strong Google Workspace, Square POS & Little Hotelier knowledge or willingness to learn.
