Warehouse Operations Worker - Forklift Operator

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operations Worker with experience in operating forklifts to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement and storage of goods within our warehouse facility. Your primary duty will be operating a forklift to handle materials and products, ensuring their safe and timely transportation to designated areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Forklift Operation: Safely and proficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products in the warehouse.

Inventory Management: Assist in the accurate tracking of inventory by properly labeling, shelving, and organizing items within the warehouse.

Loading and Unloading: Use the forklift to load and unload shipments from trucks and containers, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage to goods.

Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of incoming and outgoing materials to identify any defects or discrepancies, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating forklifts and performing warehouse tasks, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established procedures.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other warehouse equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damage for timely repair.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations throughout the facility.

Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse by keeping aisles clear, disposing of packaging materials properly, and following housekeeping standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on forklift operations.

Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to forklift operation.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
