T&M Construction, a demolition and grading contractor, maintains a strong presence in the industry. We are a small family own business that provides services to many infrastructure general contractors in the southern California region.

Job Summary:

We have an immediate need for a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our Construction Management office. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational abilities, great communication skills, a proactive attitude, the ability to multiple tasks, an unwavering commitment to accomplishing tasks efficiently and the ability to thrive in a small team environment with a "can-do" attitude. As a Construction Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of the department, ensuring seamless communication, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

MANAGE SUBCONTRACTOR COMPLIANCE SOFTWARE

- Maintain the subhaulers profiles up to date by monitoring expiration dates

- Enter subhaulers daily work tickets on to the compliance system accurately and efficiently

- Monitor subhaulers insurance requirements

- Prepare monthly payment statements

SERVICE CUSTOMER REQUESTS

- Manage communication with general contractors, employees and subcontractors ensuring timely and accurate information exchange

- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate personnel

PUBLIC WORKS CERTIFIED PAYROLL

- Manage subcontractor payroll records by customer job

- Update certified payroll system

Qualifications:

Must be available for immediate hire and prefer candidate who lives within the surrounding cities of San Pedro, CA.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher.

Previous administrative experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word & Excel.

QuickBooks knowledge

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and accuracy in handling tasks.

Familiarity with public works construction certified payroll, insurance documents is a plus.

Must be dog friendly
