DescriptionThe Center for Cognitive Neuroscience (CCN) MRI scanning laboratory, is seeking to hire a full time Staff Research Associate II, who under the general direction of the Associate Director and the Manager of Operations, will serve as the secondary staff support for the MRI scanning laboratory. In this role you will be assisting in practical aspects of scanning, acting as support in day-to-day operations of the MRI lab, assisting in lab management and technical development, and implementing standard scanner quality assurance and image analysis procedures.Duties of the role include:
Assist Investigators in Practical Aspects of Scanning - 30%
Support Day-to-Day Operations of the MRI Lab - 30%
Assist in Lab Management and Technical Development - 30%
Support Scanner Quality Assurance - 10%
Pay Range: $28.88 - $46.46 hourlyQualifications
Prior experience in scanning and image analysis.
Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, or procedures to: define the problem or objective; identify relevant concerns or factors; identify patterns, tendencies and relationships; formulate logical and objective conclusions; and recognize alternatives and their implications.
Skill in establishing priorities which accurately reflect relative importance of job duties.
Skill in working as part of a team; collaborating with colleagues.
Skill in coordinating various actions by determining the time and sequence of events to be taken in accord with standard policies practice.
Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are: changes in workload; changes in assignments; pressures of deadlines; competing requirements; and heavy workload.
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to comprehend technical and procedure manuals records written in standard English.
Ability to work and practice professional relationships with medical personnel, research subjects, patients and families.
Computer skills including word processing, email systems, file transfer, spreadsheets, data entry, data base maintenance, including the ability to enter data and maintain study records.
Familiarity with Siemens MRI system and user interfaces; advanced training will be provided.
BA or BS degree, prior experience in scanning and image analysis.
