Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and organized Dental Office Schedule Coordinator to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the appointment schedule, ensuring seamless patient flow, and providing excellent customer service to our patients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Manage the appointment schedule to optimize patient flow and ensure efficient use of dental providers' time

- Managing incoming phone calls and promptly returning calls as required

- Greeting and check in patients, ensuring up to date insurance and information

- Verifying insurance

- Monitor and manage the waiting area, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

- Other duties as assigned

Essential Job Requirements:

- 2 years proven experience as a schedule coordinator, receptionist, or in a customer service role, in a dental or medical setting

- Understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and basic insurance billing processes preferred

- Proficient computer skills, including experience with scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite, Eaglesoft software experience a plus

- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail

- Ability to type quickly, accurately and for prolonged periods

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

- Ability to operate standard office equipment

Working Conditions:

This position is based in a dental office environment. The Dental Office Schedule Coordinator will primarily work at the front desk, interacting with patients, dental providers, and other office staff. The role may involve sitting for extended periods, answering phone calls, and using a computer for scheduling and administrative tasks.
